Heritage Acres Tractor Guide

The Tractor first appeared in 1850 powered by steam. in 1901 the first gas tractor was built. These were replaced by a lighter version in 1908. All modern tractors have evolved from these. tractors are used to draw or haul loads , or are used to run separate machines by way of a flywheel or belt drive. They can have wheels made from steel or rubber treads, some have tracks and are called crawlers. SHAS has over 35 tractors, many of them still in working order and used on the property for maintenance and demonstrations.

This is just a glimpse of some of the tractors we keep on site. Come in to see them all.
