Saanich Historical Artifacts Society Hosted a , Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, and the “Government House Historical Society” at Heritage Acres on Tuesday March 22, 2016. A total of 38 volunteers from the Government House attended the Mystery Tour and five Heritage Acres volunteer tour guides took them through the various buildings and pointed out interesting artifacts for their enjoyment. Thank you to our guides and our bus driver for the safe return of our visitors.
A superb lunch was catered by Graham Little, of Island Culinary Services, which was enjoyed by all.
It was a great honour and privilege to host this tour for the Government House Volunteers, and we look forward to our next meeting.

OLD ENGLISH CAR SHOW & SWAP MEET
/in Car Shows /by shasThe Old English Car Show is back for another year by popular demand. This is our first major Public Event of the year and it will start our season off with a bang. There will be a display of English and European Vehicles, in “The Green” our picnic area and all streets surrounding this lovely green space. I am certain there will also be a parts market if you are looking for parts for your antique British Roadster.
Hot Dogs, Hamburgers , French Fries, and Onion Rings will be on our menu along with many desserts, both store bought and home made.
Come on out and join in the festivities, You won’t be disappointed.

The Meetings on Saturday April 2, 2016 were well attended and a new committee structure was introduced at the General Meeting of the Society. We covered a lot of business and there were many motions approved. Any member wishing to sign up for one or more of the committees should contact the office.
